We welcome our new Director of Music and Organist, Mr. Haig Vosgueritchian.

Haig A. Vosgueritchian was born in Jerusalem and began the study of  piano at the age of 14.

After obtaining his degree in piano from the Conservatory “Arrigo Pedrollo” of Venice, Italy, he returned to Jerusalem to teach Piano and Music Theory, while continuing pipe organ studies.

Returning to the A. Pedrollo” Conservatory in 2007, he obtained his Masters Degree in Pipe Organ, completing his thesis on  “Harmonization and Accompaniment of Gregorian Chant”.

In 2011 Mr .Vosgueritchian obtained an additional Master’s Degree in “Organ for the Liturgy” from the same Conservatory with a thesis “Organ and Organist at the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem”

During his studies, Mr. Vosgueritchian played numerous services and liturgies as an organist at the Basilica of The Holy Sepulchre, the Church of Saint Savior in Jerusalem and the Church of Saint Lazarus in Bethany.

Most significantly, Mr. Vosgueritchian has composed music for children and has arranged music for choir and piano. In addition, he has performed concerts in Jerusalem, Italy, the United States, Lithuania and the Netherlands as well as for the BBC Radio 4 and other national and international Television programs.

Mr. Vosgueritchian was the Principal Organist and Choir Conductor at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth and a member of the music faculty  at the Magnificat Music Institute and the Studium Theologicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem.

He is the the Founder and Artistic Director of the “Terra Sancta Organ Festival”.

In 2000, Mr.Vosgueritchian placed first at the “Carlo Tavasani” National Piano Competition
